Chris and I went to his grandparents' house for Easter yesterday, which was nice and involved lots of tasty food, playing pool with Chris and his brother, who far outstrips either of us in ability, and watching movies on TV. It also involved an "Easter Egg Hunt" that consisted of the three of us (Chris and his brother, and me too, which surprised me) being handed two eggs apiece, with $5 in each egg from their grandparents. I wasn't quite sure what to make of that. On one hand, hey, ten bucks is ten bucks, but it's not like I'm their grandkid... and I'm not related-by-marriage _yet_. And part of me was vaguely insulted for some reason. I'm their grandson's fiancee--that implies, y'know, _adulthood_. Having ten dollars in cash thrown at me as a holiday present doesn't seem very...adult. I guess. It was kind of awkward, at any rate.
In other news, Chris kept his promise to investigate late application to TTU, so I guess I should keep mine, and go down to the Academic Advising and Career Center and find out how I'll keep myself in classes, food, and an apartment if I do end up here next year.

If we want to talk about not feeling very adult: be glad they don't call you by the horrible childish nickname you were called when you were four, like my grandparents still do. :-( None of my other cousins or sister is still addressed in such a manner. Apparently being un-married and never in jail means I am still a "child."
Oh and one thing I was wondering: would you mind terribly if I could see some of your geo papers you did at Whitman? I am not sure what standards I am going to be held to, especially for my 4 credit research paper. Anything you wrote for Kevin, or wrote as a senior, would be especially helpful. :-)
